The property is located in Riomaggiore, the first of the 5 Terre villages . Setting off from La Spezia, the first village one encounters is Riomaggiore, which boasts the typical terraced structure of villages in torrential valleys, with steep sides and restricted valley floor. The landscape is therefore typically vertical and stairs and steps make up the roads. The main road is a covered canal beneath which runs the Rivus Maior stream from which the village takes its name. Riomaggiore is connected to the other villages by the path n 2, the blue path or by trains and boats. All rooms are well equipped with all comforts. The rooms are located on 3 floors. Our history: the Locanda derives its name from the first owner's family name that lived inside the building from about the 15th century The ancient cellar where they produced the sciacchetrà is now the Locanda Ca' dei Duxi's breakfast room, we have only 10 rooms (8 with air conditioning and 2 without air conditioning). The Guest House Barbara is locate at the marina of Riomaggiore and boasts n. 4 double room, one with sea view, one with the usage of a balcony and a common bathroom and two with ensuite bathroom but not sea view. The 2 rooms with commom bathroom have a little kitchen to be used by the guests and a small terrace. The rooms' keys must be collected at the reception located in Via Colombo n. 194 Riomaggiore (at the exit of the railway's tunnel)where a person will come with you to the Guest House. We don't offer a breakfast service.
