The hotel is located right in the heart of Catania's historic centre, just a brief stroll away from piazza Duomo and via Etnea. The same family has managed the hotel for 4 generations. The building itself, dating from the late 18th century, was completely refurbished in 2001. The guests especially enjoy the peace and quite of the bedrooms, which for the most part overlook inner courtyards, making the hotel a real oasis of serenity in the heart of a busy city.

The hotel offers you a lot of services. The buffet breakfast room is very light and elegant. The hotel also has a reading room and comfortable armchairs for your meetings or to make your holiday more relaxed.
Room information
The hotel has 30 rooms offering up to a total of 64 beds. All the rooms are well furnished and soundproof and have their own bathroom, minibar, TV , safe deposit box, direct telephone and additional plug for PC. The air conditioning system is centralized and adjustable from the rooms.
Area information
The hotel Savona boasts on enviable position, in a place that can be considered the heart of Catania. In a short time you can reach all the tourist, cultural and commercial places: Duomo Square, Castle Ursino, the university, the bathing establishments La Playa, the port of Catania, the Bellini theatre, the showing centre The Ciminiere, the archaeological area and museums. All of these are easily reachable on foot. In a few minutes walking you can also get to the typical quarters of pubs, which at night are overcrowded by young people, the characteristic "a piscaria", the fish market and "a fera o luni", the Monday fair, so called because, in the past, it was opened only on Mondays. Now it is opened every day except on Sundays. At a fera o luni you can relive the old times of buying goods by haggling in the midst of the sellers shouting. Near the hotel there is the famous Bellini park, where you can appreciate secular trees and typical Mediterranean garden corners.
