The Hotel & Restaurant "Zur Fichtenbreite“ lies in the heart of Saxony-Anhalt, on the outskirts of the town of Coswig. The hotel was built in 1995 and is situated in the Mid-Elbe Biosphere Reserve. Just a stone’s throw away you’ll find the Fläming Nature Park, in which you can enjoy long walks and bicycle trips.

The Fichtenbreite is the Nordic Walking Centre for Saxony Anhalt. It offers a wide range of programmes for children and adults, and Nordic walking sticks can be obtained from the hotel.

Under expert guidance, guests can explore the Mittelelbe Biosphere Reserve or the Fläming Nature Park.

Popular attractions in Coswig include Coswig Castle, the historic Nicolaikirche (church) and the Bismarck Tower.

Day-trip options could include a trip to the nearby Fläming Nature Park, where you can enjoy endless beautiful hiking and cycling trails. Guests can also visit the historic towns of Lutherstadt Wittenberg (15 kilometres away) and Dessau (17 kilometres away).

A bicycle tour along the Elberadweg riverside cycle path is an excellent way to explore the Saxony-Anhalt countryside.

The Wörlitzer Park is situated just 4 kilometres away.

Travel information

If you’re travelling by car, take the A9 motorway and exit at "Coswig". Continue towards Coswig/Wittenberg. Follow the main road B187 for about 300 metres and then turn right at the first set of traffic lights.
